Zahida Saddiq, Capacity Building Manager

My role is to provide capacity building support to new and existing voluntary and community organisations in Kingston in order to develop their organisational capacity e.g. identify funding sources and assisting organisations in applying for funding, supporting organisations to implement quality assurance, group development, business planning, legal and constitutional support, policy and procedures, so as to prepare them to meet the demands of the changing environment the voluntary and community sector is operating in.

I will also be working with organisations to become more sustainable by looking at alternative sources of income especially generating income and commissioning and procurement.

I have worked for Kingston Voluntary Action for over six years on a number of projects including CapacityBuilders and Neighbourhood Community Development.
