Survey of Local Voluntary & Community Sector

Over the coming months, Kingston Voluntary Action will be working with the Voluntary Sector Unit at the Council to carry out an extensive survey of the local voluntary and community sector.

The purpose of this survey will firstly be to update our records so that we have accurate information and contacts for each organisation, but also to gain a clearer picture of the local sector.  At the Voluntary Sector Forum meeting in October, it was felt that the survey carried out by the Government to assess the sector (for National Indicator 7 “Creating an Environment for a Thriving Third Sector”) did not accurately reflect the local situation with very few groups receiving the survey and there was a call for a specific local survey (as reported in the Autumn 2009 newsletter).  We will therefore be using this as an opportunity to collect your views on the services provided by Kingston Voluntary Action and the Royal Borough of Kingston council.

We will contact groups with the survey in the near future and would appreciate your time and assistance in completing this.

If you have any questions or suggestions in the meantime, please contact Justine Forrest, Information & Communications Co-ordinator at KVA on 020 8255 3335 or communications@kva.org.uk

This work will be form about the Kingston Infrastructure, Support and Development Project funded by the BIG Lottery.
