Presentation Skills

Venue: Richard Mayo Centre, United Reformed Church (tbc)

Who Should Attend: Those whose role requires them to deliver presentations, either formal or informal, to groups in-house or external to their organisation. 

Course Overview: The course will give you a balance of background knowledge and practical skills.   The objective is to enable you to deliver presentations which are easily understood, have credibility and make a positive impact. The course covers the whole process from planning the content through to learning techniques for effective delivery. You will be able to practice your new skills in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Topics covered include:

  • decide on your objective
  • know your audience
  • content – what to include
  • structure – how to put it together
  • delivery – the resources we have
  • nerves – learn to appear confident 

Trainer: Nicola Gregory has been working with organisations in the private, public and voluntary sector for the last 12 years, supporting personnel in their professional development and personal growth.   Nicky’s leadership development coaching covers a range of the soft, interpersonal skills through to specific skills training for personnel who are learning and expanding their leadership competencies.
Nicky has been a people manager herself for over 20 years.  Her coaching focuses on gaining knowledge and learning skills which can be applied on a practical level with immediate effect.   Her training courses are interactive, highly participative and designed to be enjoyed.

Course Fee: £40 for Voluntary and Community Organisations. £65 for other organisations.
